The opposition factions’ sites in the villages and towns of al-Fatira, Kafr Aweed, Sufuhn, Kansafra, Fleifel and al-Ruwaiha in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, were hit with heavy artillery by the Syrian government forces, opposition military sources told North Press.
“The sites of the opposition factions in the villages of Kafr Noran and Ajel and the outskirts of Taqad in the western countryside of Aleppo, were also hit with heavy artillery by the government forces stationed in the 46th Regiment,” the sources added.
“Al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room bombed the government forces’ sites in the villages of al-Malajah and al-Dar Al-Kabira, south of Idlib, with mortar shells, ” according to the sources.
On Monday morning, the Turkish forces deployed in Zawiya Mountain targeted a Russian “swan” reconnaissance plane over Saraqib, east of Idlib, with a surface-to-air missile, but the missile exploded near the plane without being able to hit it, according to the same sources.
Over the past 48 hours, Russian warplanes and reconnaissance planes have intensively flown over the Idlib and Aleppo regions in northwest Syria, but no airstrikes were recorded.
