Jeffery Goldberg has stated that some U.S. Senators, including Lindsy Graham, are warning Trump that the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria would leave Syrian Kurds defenseless against Damascus and Ankara.

An expert in the Atlantic Council Institute, Goldberg stated that Graham and some other senators have warned Trump that if the Kurds would not under attacks from Damascus and Ankara then the Islamic State (IS) militants would attack them.
