Barzani, Abdul Mahdi meet in Baghdad

<p style="text-align: left;">The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader Massoud Barzani arrived on Thursday in Baghdad where he met Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi.

According to Somerieh News this is the first Barzani&rsquo;s visit to Baghdad after the independence referendum in Kurdistan Region on September 25, 2017.

The two sides are planned to discuss disputed between the region and the central government and the ways to settle the differences.

According to Iraqi media Barzani is in Baghdad to argue with officials in the central government over separate issues, among them 2019 Iraqi national budget.

It is worth mentioning that Massoud Barzani arrived in Baghdad on Thursday and welcomed by Iraqi Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbosi, Finance Minister Fuad Hussein, Badr Coalition leader Hadi al-Ameri and other leading officials in Baghdad airport on Thursday November 22.

According to Rudaw TV Barzani will meet Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi and some other leading officials in Baghdad and then would make a visit to Najaf.
