Galo Issa, a member of the central committee of the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (P.D.K.S) told Kurdpress about Turkish authorities' remarks to connect the occupied areas of northern Syria to each other and attack Kobani that: the situation in Kobani is calm and there is no movement from Turkey. Kobani has a more peaceful and calmer situation compared to other areas in northern Syria that are bombarded by Turkish artillery and extremist groups.

He continued: Turkey has increased its artillery attacks in the lines of contact in Grispi, Serikani, Tal Rifat and Manbij. Turkey's intention is to complete the lines of occupation and capture Kobani, Tal Rifat and Manbij to join the occupied areas from Serikani to Idlib, but Turkish President Erdogan failed to get permission for another ground attack either in the tripartite meeting in Tehran or in the Sochi meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He added: "The reality is that the powers present in Syria enter into dialogue with the other side based on their interests, and in this regard, they have tied the negotiation with Turkey to their interests in the Syrian crisis."

He reminded: It should also be taken into account that in addition to the Tehran meeting and the Sochi meeting, the Jeddah meeting was also held in the presence of the Arab countries that intend to form the Arab NATO. Today, the policy is no longer that way that if a decision is made in Sochi, it will be implemented in Syria; because the Arab countries and the international anti-ISIS coalition are involved in this situation, and they have shown that they are against Turkey's attack on Syria.

He explained: Turkey wants to destabilize the situation in northern Syria to cause dissatisfaction among the people.

In response to the question that in Kobani, both Russian and Syrian army forces are stationed on the border, so how can they give Turkey permission to launch another ground military attack, he stated: In the trilateral meeting in Tehran, the parties were not against Turkey's pressures, but the more Turkey pressures the self-governing administration, the more they try to pull the self-governing administration towards themselves. In fact, it is true that they are against the Turkish ground attack, but they want this administration to be weakened.

He added: The Syrian government does not have much military power and cannot give a strong military response to Turkey's attacks. That is why it is dependent on Russia and Iran, and these two countries are also looking for their own interests in Syria and in this matter particularly.

In response to the question that Putin wants Erdogan to talk with the central government of Syria and whether this issue will not hurt the Kurds and the autonomous administration, Mr. Issa noted: the negotiation between Hakan Fidan, the head of the Turkish security agency and Ali Mamoud, head of the Syrian security agency is not a new issue and they have met each other before, but it is not clear whether the two countries can reach a definite conclusion regarding the complicated Syrian crisis and Turkey's role in the occupation of northern Syria.
