Yashar Yakish, the former Turkish foreign minister and one of the founders of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), said in an article about the confusion of the opposition parties in confronting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his party in next year's Turkish elections.
He considered part of this confusion to be the result of ignoring the votes of Turkish Kurds.
In his article released in Arab News newspaper, he pointed out that the number of Turkish Kurdish voters is at least 12%, and that their vote is decisive in the victory or defeat of the opposition parties against Erdogan.
The former foreign minister also pointed out that the Kurdish People's Democratic Party (HDP) has separated its path by forming a coalition with several small parties outside the circle of the current two coalitions of the nation and the president, and considered this action as a blow to the opposition parties in the upcoming elections.
