Turkey, YPG could hold talks, researchers says

<p style="text-align: left;">David Pollack, a researcher of the Kurdish issue in Middle East Institute in Washington that there is the possibility of negotiation between Turkey and the Syrian Kurdish forces of Peoples&amp;rsquo; Protection Units (YPG) as the former leader of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) had called for talks with Turkey.

The analyst has stated that the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed force (YPG) are better to stay away from the Kurdistan Workers&rsquo; Party (PKK) and its jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan in order to reach deal with Ankara.

He told a TV program that there is the possibility of negotiation between the Syrian Kurds in the north and Turkey.

Pollack has suggested the formation of a region like the Kurdish region in the north of Iraq though it is a complicated issue and its formation is not that easy, adding that whatever decision that is made in the north of Syria is better to have received Turkey consent to make the deal stable and lasting.

He further reiterated on the necessity of ties between Kurds in the north of Syria and the Kurdistan Region in the north of Iraq because better ties between the Iraq and Syrian Kurds would benefit all and would even improve Kurdistan Region- Turkey relation.
