Kurdistan Region, India seeking to boost economic ties

<p style="text-align: left;">A delegation from India discussed boosting economic and trade ties with Kurdistan Region in a meeting with the region&amp;rsquo;s prime minister.

Led by India Ambassador to Iraq Pradip Sing, the delegation met the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani in Erbil where the two sides discussed ways to boost and expand economic and trade ties between the two sides.

India Consul to Erbil, Jandra Mol, also accompanied the delegation.

The delegation stressed that there are economic and producing opportunities in the region for India companies and Kurdistan Region trade and economic companies are willing for having ties with Indian companies as well as investing in the Kurdish autonomous region in the north of Iraq.

Barzani, for his side, voiced Erbil&rsquo;s readiness for having every kind of cooperation with India companies within attempts to invest in the region.
