KRG success lies behind behavior of two ruling parties, MP tells Kurdpress

<p style="text-align: left;">A member of the Kurdistan Region local parliament stated that the success of the new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) depends on a change in the behavior of the two ruling parties of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).

A member of the Kurdistan Islamic Community, Soran Omer, told Kurdpress in an interview that no bright future can be predicted for the formation of the new KRG cabinet, revealing that the KDP is in talks with the other parties in the region over the formation of the new government of the region but the talks have not led to any avail yet.

Omer stated that the KDP has held ties with the PUK and the Movement for Change (Gorran) but it has stopped short of making any negotiation with his party yet.

The Islamic deputy also added that his party cannot comment on the formation of the next government of the region as long as it is not negotiated in the talks leading to the formation of the government in Erbil.

More finally added that no government in the region can be successful as long as the ruling parties of the KDP and PUK follow their old policies.
