Erbil-Baghdad seeking deal for Peshmerga return to Kirkuk: deputy

<p style="text-align: left;">An Iraqi parliament deputy stated on Monday that there are secret efforts by Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan Region, to return the Kurdish forces of Peshmerga to Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

Fawzi Akram, an Iraqi parliament deputy from Turkmen Front, told al-Malomeh news agency that the two governments are making deals for the return of the Kurdish Peshmerga and Asayesh forces to Kirkuk and Washington backs the move, stressing that Turkmens would take legal steps to prevent the move and Kurds control over Kirkuk province.
