The two parties were due to meet for government formation talks on Wednesday in the resort town of Dohuk, a city in Kurdistan Region, but will instead meet at the PUK’s political bureau in Sulaimani, according to PUK-affiliated media.
It was not immediately clear why the change had been made.
The two parties signed a political agreement on March 4, but little was revealed about the substance at the time and there has been little public progress towards forming a government since then, NRT reported.
Delegations from the KDP and PUK met last week and again on Sunday, but failed to reach an agreement.
