Conservative Review stated in a report that Trump made many wrong mistakes and improving his ties with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and leaving the Iraqi Kurds alone against Baghdad were two mistakes the U.S. president made in 2017.

The website added that the people of the Iraqi Kurdistan voted, more than 90 percent, in favor of the independence of the region from Baghdad and we expected the establishment of a democratic, independent entity by the Kurdish which could be the forerunner of democracy.
