Four detained over killing of Turkish diplomat in Erbil

<p style="text-align:left">Four people were detained in connection to an attack on Wednesday in Kurdistan Region capital city of Erbil, which killed a Turkish consulate employee, state-run Anadolu News Agency reported on Saturday, citing Iraqi officials.

Mazlum Dag, who was identified by officials earlier this week, and three others were detained by security forces in Iraq&rsquo;s Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) capital of Erbil, it said.
Osman Kose, the Turkish vice consul in Erbil, was killed along with two Iraqi nationals when two gunmen opened fire on the men at a restaurant in the neighbourhood of Ainkawa.
The KRG on Thursday called the incident a &ldquo;premeditated terrorist attack.&rsquo;&rsquo;
The Erbil Security Directorate later shared the identity and photograph of 27-year-old Mazlum Dag as the main suspect in the attack.
