“The parliament will hold its usual session next week and one of the subjects to debate is the Afrin situation,” Talabani told the Voice of America.
She added that the parliament will declare its official position towards the Turkish military offensive against Afrin after the session.
Turkey launched operation "Olive Branch" on January 20 against the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in its western enclave of Afrin, supporting Syrian opposition fighters with ground troops and air strikes.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports on that at least 58 FSA fighters and 7 Turkish fighters had been killed by YPG, while the Turkish army and allied FSA forces killed 53 YPG fighters.
As many as 86 civilians were also killed and 189 others were wounded by Turkish attacks, Al Masdar News reports.
