According to KDP official website Hemin Hewrami underscored the region’s ties with Tehran in a meeting with the Iranian Consul Morteza Abadi and his political advisor Hamid Reza Hafezi, with Hewrami stressing on removing obstacles in ties between the two sides.

Hewrami added that the region has been an agent of stability and has respected bordering relations.
