Reports stated that a number of Turkish soldiers were killed in the attack and a tank was destroyed. The exact casualties of the attack are still unknown.

Media in Kurdistan Region claim the forces of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) are behind the attack but Firat News said the identity of the attackers is not known.
