The official, Foza Yusef lashes seriously at Russia policies towards the Kurds in Syria and blamed Moscow for all the events in northern Syria, including the Kurdish city of Afrin.
“Russia decides about all these games,” she told Middle East Eye about Moscow-Ankara agreement over Turkey’s attack on Afrin.
“It is a long time that Russia is playing these games in Syria; they use the Kurdish card to pressure Turkey and uses Turkish card to pressure the Kurds.”
Some Kurdish officials have told Middle East Eye that that Russia has tried to prevent any possible agreement between Syrian Kurds and Damascus for the later to send armed forces to Afrin to counter Turkey attack on the city, blaming Russia for considering its own interests.
