Cemil Bayik calls for improving ties with KDP and Peshmerga force

A leading member of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), Cemil Bayik has send a consolation message to the Kurdistan Regional Government, the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan Region over the recent disputes between the KRG and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and called for a solution to the problems between them.

Bayik, a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), called for better ties the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan Region.

According to the Euphrates news agency, Bayik said in his statement that the KCK is not the enemy of the KDP and the autonomy of Iraqi Kurdistan and wants to cooperate with the KDP against anti-Kurdish forces.

He added that the current situation presents historic opportunities for the Kurds that should not be missed.

"On behalf of our movement, I promise the Kurdish people and the people of the world that we respect the autonomy and the sovereignty of the Kurdistan Region and the Peshmerga forces," Bayik told KDP officials, adding that "We have no problem with them. On the other hand, I also want the KDP to promise not to act against us like a Turkish agent. It should not serve the politics of genocide. I want to it to be committed to this. If they promise, all the problems will be solved easily."
