Kurds should form a joint alliance after Iraq elections: deputy

<p style="text-align: left;">A Kurdish deputy in Iraqi parliament has stated that the rights of the Kurds in Iraqi constitution are under threat and political parties in Kurdistan Region should form an alliance after parliamentary elections in the state.

Zana Rustayee, a deputy from Islamic Community, reiterated in an interview with Rudaw that Kurds in Iraq are in a tough situation and their legal rights are under the threat of being breached and neglected.

Kurds unity against the Iraqi government in Baghdad is a necessity and the damages of their division should stop, he added.

Those states who win the most of the votes should take step in forming an alliance, Rustayee , a candidate in Iraq parliament elections said.

The election is to be held on May 12, 2018.

The deputy underlined that his party welcomes and reiterated on forming a Kurdish alliance in the Iraqi parliament.
