<p style="text-align: left;">Two separate delegations from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) will hold talks with Iraqi politicians and officials in Baghdad.

A KDP delegation headed by Fazil Mirani arrived in Baghdad on Tuesday, May 22, to discuss the formation of a new Iraqi government with Iraqi politicians, NRT reported.

The PUK delegation is expected to arrive in Baghdad later on Tuesday, he added. Outgoing Iraqi President Fuad Masum will head the delegation.

Both delegations are expected to hold talks with Moqtada al-Sadr, Haider al-Abadi, Ayad Alawi, Ammar al-Hakim, and several other officials.

As the results of the Iraqi parliamentary election were announced, the blocs have started talks to form a coalition for a new government&rsquo;s cabinet.

Moqtada al-Sadr&rsquo;s Sa&rsquo;eroon topped the results of the election, followed by the Fateh bloc led by Hadi al-Amiri, and Prime Minister Haider Abadi&rsquo;s Nasr coming in third.
