Masoud Haidar, a Gorran member, who is also an Iraqi parliamentarian was dismissed “for not abiding by the movement’s programs and work,” the official media of Gorran reported.
Following his dismissal by Gorran, Haidar said it has been over 40 days since he had resigned from the movement and the faction.
“The statement by Gorran is out of interest, since it has been so long that I have resigned,” he said in a written statement on his official Facebook account.
“I am proud for representing the Kurdish people, defending the soil and people of the Kurdistan Region without [becoming involved in] party conflict, surrendering the [prosperity] of public employee or the constitutional and legal position of the region, or right and sacred identity of the Peshmerga.”
The sacking of a Gorran representative in Baghdad comes about two weeks after the Iraqi parliamentary election.

Gorran said that they are open to all options, including boycotting the political process in Baghdad.
