<p style="text-align:left">Turkish army artillery shelled a town in northeastern Syria on Monday, December 2, killing nine civilians, according to Hawar News Agency (ANHA).

ANHA reported that the Turkish military, along with its Syrian rebel allies, hit several residential areas in Tal Rifat, a Kurdish town which is located 40 kilometers north of Aleppo.
Ten other civilians were wounded. There were children among the dead and wounded, according to ANHA.
Tal Rifat is still under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), but is also home to thousands of non-combatants.
