According to a NRT report several Katyusha rockets were directed at the US embassy in Baghdad. Police sources told Reuters that three rockets landed in the heavily-fortified area.

There were no immediately reported casualties.

The attack came just hours after the Council of Representatives passed a resolution calling for the government to cancel agreements allowing foreign troops to be deployed in Iraq and a day after a militia warned Iraqi forces to withdraw from areas near US installations.
