According to NRT Saeed ordered the dismissal in an official statement on Wednesday, July 5, based on a decision from Daquq District Council.

“According to the decision of the Daquq District Council No. 726 dated November 21, 2017 … It was decided to dismiss the mayor of Daquq, Amir Khudakaram Mohammed, from his post,” the statement read.

Several Kurdish officials have been removed from their posts since mid-October last year when Iraqi forces and the Hashid al-Shaabi retook Kirkuk and the disputed areas from Kurdish forces.
