According to BasNews Barzani reaffirmed in the meeting that the new government in Baghdad should include a true partnership, balance in power, and consensus to avoid repeating mistakes.
The two also exchanged views on the post-election political developments across Iraq, including the formation of the future government in Baghdad.
During the meeting where the US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman and Consul General in Erbil Ken Gross were attending, as well, the officials also discussed the current and future affairs of Kurds in Syria, pointing out some of Washington's policies for the country.
The US envoy reiterated his country’s support for a strong Kurdistan Region, noting that collaborations would continue to ensure stability in Iraq.
