PYD representative Balkans says US recognize Syrian Kurds politically

The representative of the Syrian Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the Balkans calls on the United States to recognize the Syrian Kurds politically.

"Russia has never played a positive role towards Syria or the Kurds in Syria and has not played a positive role in Syria politics. Russia has come to Syria only for its own interests, and uses the national interests of Syria for its own and to put different groups against each other," Dr. Ibrahim Muslim, the representative of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the Balkans and a member of the party's General Council, told KurdPress about Russia policy towards Syria and Syrian Kurds.
He continued: "In the case of cooperation with Turkey, Russia seeks to secure its interests and keep Ankara away from Washington and NATO, as it used in historical events in Greece and Armenia"
The PYD representative in the Balkans referred to the US policy towards the Kurds in Syria and acknowledged: "Every government has come to Syria for its own interests and the US is not out of this principle. [former US President Donald] Trump's role in the Turkish invasion of Afrin, Gri Spi and Sari Kani and the occupation of these areas was a very negative role, and Trump betrayed the Kurds as his allies in Syria." Dr. Muslim reminded: Turkey will never dare to attack Syrian Kurdistan and other places without the green light of the world powers, and it will not pursue any expanding policy without taking permission from Britain and France."
"It is necessary for Joe Biden to recognize the political existence of the Kurds," he said. "We hope that with Biden's policies, the Kurds will enjoy a better status. It is said that Biden is familiar with the Kurdish issue and has closely dealt the pain and problems of the Kurds. In addition to supporting Kurds in the war against ISIS and terrorism in Syria, the United States needs to recognize the Kurds politically."
The representative of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the Balkans explained the differences between Kurdish political forces, including the PKK and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), and its impact on Syrian Kurdistan: "The Kurdish land has been divided by the powers in historical stages. But Kurds are a nation characteristically and need to converge on different issues."
He added: "Some groups are under the influence of the Turkish government and are promoting Turkish policies, while Turkey is not only the enemy of the Kurds in Turkey and Syria, but it is also against the Kurds and Kurdistan."
The Kurdish politician pointed out: "The PKK is an excuse; Turkey's attack on different parts of Kurdistan is aimed at fighting all Kurds and is an expansionist policy and an example of this hostility could be seen in opposition to the Kurdistan Region referendum of independence."
