Kobani told Voice of America that the Kurdistan Region is able to support northeastern Syria politically and economically and hoped that the authorities in the Region will play a positive role in doing so.

Regarding the US-brokered talks promoting Kurdish unity in northeastern Syria, Kobani said that he is optimistic about the new Biden administration and hopes that it will do much to correct the mistakes made by Trump.
