PKK must resolve its troubles inside Turkey, official tells KurdPress

The head of the Public Relations Office for the Future of Syrian Kurdistan Movement said: "It is necessary for the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) not to give Turkey an excuse to attack the territory of the Kurdistan Region. And resolve its troubles with Turkey inside the country.”

Referring to the differences between the PKK and the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Fadi Marie, head of the Public Relations Office for the Future of Syrian Kurdistan Movement, told KurdPress: "The Turkish government has an agreement with Iraq wherever its borders are endangered has the right to use military forces.”

He continued: "Turkey is using this deal and has entered the Kurdish region to fight the PKK."

"The Kurdistan Region is widely recognized as an official federal entity on Iraqi soil, and all patriotic Kurds must not allow any hurt to the region and give no excuse to anyone," Fadi Marei added.

Also a member of the Kurdish Patriotic Council (ENKS), the Syrian Kurdish official further told KurdPress that: "It is necessary for all Kurds to be vigilant and prevent any excuses. The PKK should return to Turkish Kurdistan and take its issues into Turkey."

"The role of Masoud Barzani (the Kurdistan Democratic Party Leader) is very important in preventing a civil war, and as he has already stated that any fratricidal war is forbidden, and we hope that the two sides will understand this fact and will not give excuse to other countries," Fadi Marie said.
