Kurdistan Region's military weakness main reason behind its dependence on US

<p style="text-align: left;">The Foundation for Research and Supervision believes that the lack of military capabilities is behind the dependence of Iraqi Kurdistan on the US military presence in the Kurdish region.

The Iraqi parliament has ordered the government in Baghdad to call for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country after the American invasion of Hashd Shaabi bases and the assassination of General Qasim Soleimani.
The Foundation in India points out that the Kurds are militarily dependent on the U.S. and the coalition's aid and the situation will affect the status of the Iraqi Kurds.
The analysis further added the Kurds' worry about the effects of the withdrawal of US forces from the Kurdish region is the main reason behind the Kurds vote against the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.
It also predicted that the U.S. would withdraw important elements from Iraq ahead of the U.S. presidential election, and transfer most of its remaining troops to the Kurdish region.
Citing the fact that the United States has left and betrayed Kurds in facing major developments, the research body said the number of Kurdish choices are limited because of their position, as well as the years-old war against the IS, and stressed that it appeared the Kurds had no choice but to accompany the U.S. in the region.
The Kurdistan Region is militarily affiliated with the United States and the Coalition to combat IS, the institute noted.
