All Sulaimani-Tehran flights suspended

<p style="text-align:left">Iraqi Airways said on Friday, February 21, that all flights between Sulaimani and Tehran have been suspended due to the developing cornonavirus outbreak in Iran.

&ldquo;Due to the outbreak of the virus in Iran, all the flights between Sulaimani and Tehran have been suspended and, at Erbil Airport, the last flight from Erbil to Tehran will be today. After that, all flights will be suspended until further notice,&rdquo; Iraqi Airways said.
According to NRT the halt in flights between Iraq and the Kurdistan Region comes after both the federal Ministry of Interior and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Interior decided to close all border crossings and all flights with Iran.
On Thursday, five cases of the cornonavirus were recorded in the Iranian city of Qom, with two of them proving fatal.
Thirteen new cases were recorded in Iran on Friday, raising the total number of people infected to eighteen. Four people of the newly identified patients have died.
