Turkey shelled and attacked Syria Kurdish region in early October 2019 and took the control of the two cities of Sari Kani and Geri Spi after the US pulled its troops out of the Kurdish-controlled regions in the north of Syria.

The magazine has stated in a report that the US was the main reason behind the attack by Ankara as Turkey was seeking for an opportunity to launch an attack against the Kurds as soon as American troops quit the region.

The report further added that fighting the Kurds in Syria and preventing their progress on Turkey border was the main reason behind Ankara operation into Syria northern regions.

The Romani-based magazine further reiterated that Turkey could not make the attack if US had not pulled its forces out of the regions.

The report stressed that Washington stabbed the Syrian Kurds from behind as they were US alley in the fight against the Islamic State and lost more than 11000 forces in the fight against the terrorist group but Washington let Turkey to drive the Kurds from northern Syria.
