Turkey Desk – Besiye Ozer, an ailing political prisoner, was released from Gebze Women's Prison after serving a 30-year sentence and was met with a warm welcome from her family, activists, and citizens in Diyarbakir. In her first remarks following her release, she expressed her wish to have been freed alongside all other political prisoners and emphasized, "Our belief in the peace process remains strong."
