Service of Iraq and Kurdistan Region - With the conclusion of Sulaymaniyah University's investigation into the charges brought against Dr. Abdul Latif Ahmad, a professor at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and one of the well-known figures of the Salafist movement in the Kurdistan Region, speculations about the outcome of this case have entered a new phase. While some unofficial reports report that the accusations have been proven and his possible expulsion from the university, Abdul Latif Ahmed has denied all these claims and the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kurdistan Region has not yet taken any official position on the outcome of the investigation.
