Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Political Bureau member Hoshyar Zebari was called to the Al-Karkh investigations court in Baghdad on Tuesday, May 17, on charges of insulting the Federal Supreme Court.
The deputy chairman of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) faction in the Iraqi parliament stressed that the party would not allow the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) to take over the presidency of Iraq.
The co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, arrived on Monday evening in Baghdad to discuss the issue of the Iraqi presidency with the Shiite and Sunni political parties.
