Abdula criticized the KDP saying that they want to manage the ninth cabinet by themselves and ignore the other sides that are participating in the Government.
The wounds of the civil war have not healed completely, the people have the right to be angry at our feud with the KDP, the conflict between the two parties is normal but it is unpleasant that some are talking about dividing the administrations,” Abdulla said.
“Our conflicts with the KDP are not because of Zini Warte but because of some unsolved issues, we do not understand why the KDP is fortifying their bases that they used in the civil war against the PUK, they are saying that the fortification is due to coronavirus, what has military vehicles to do with coronavirus?” Abdulla added.
Over the last few weeks, the area around the village of Zini Warte has been the focus of ongoing tension between the KDP, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), and the PKK, with multiple armed units encamped within a few hundred meters of each other. The village is located in a strategic area between KDP-controlled Erbil governorate, PUK-dominated Sulaimani governorate, and the PKK’s headquarters in the Qandil Mountains.
