The official website of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced that on Thursday, August 5, that Nechirvan Barzani traveled to Tehran and attended the inauguration ceremony of the 13th president of Iran.

According to the statement, Barzani is scheduled to meet with Raisi and a number of other high-ranking Iranian officials on Friday.

Barzani arrived in Tehran on Thursday morning on an official visit and headed by a high-ranking delegation of Kurdish regional officials.

Earlier, Kurdish regional officials met with President Raisi during his recent visit to Iraq.
