Joe Biden says US has no military force in Syria

The US President claimed that his country does not have any military forces in Syria.

US President Joe Biden, who has been widely criticized in recent days for his actions in Afghanistan that led to the Taliban's takeover of the country, has denied the presence of 900 US troops in Syria, especially in the Kurdish-controlled areas of the war-torn country.

He told the ABC News Channel that the United States has no military presence in Syria.

In a report sent to Democrats last week, particularly on Afghanistan, the White House claimed that the United States had no military presence inside Syria, Fox News reported.

But some US news networks such as CNN, Fox News and several other US news agencies have emphasized that despite the fact that the US has been proven to have at least 900 troops in Syria, the denial of the US military presence in Syria is surprising or it can be said that this is another Biden blunder.

The White House has not yet responded to requests for comment on Biden's remarks about the US military presence in Syria.

Some officials have told Fox News that the US forces in Syria are military advisers and since they are not combat forces, Biden did not consider them as a part of the military.

According to a US media report, American forces based in Syria are part of the country's special forces.
