"We reject the burning of the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party," said Ahmad al-Asadi, the official spokesman for the Fatah coalition. “Also, the flag of Kurdistan Region is respected and considering that it is one of the symbols of Kurdistan Region, we reject the insult to it.”

Al-Assadi added: "In the statement of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) about this incident, it was stated that all offices are respected and the Kurdistan region is part of Iraq and we respect it and its flags, titles and political and social symbols."

A spokesman for the Fatah coalition also condemned the burning and insulting of the Kurdistan Region flag, calling it an unacceptable personal act.
