U.S. State Department urges all Iraqi citizens, particularly those residing in the Kurdistan Region, to participate in the national census.

Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, emphasized the importance of the Iraqi census, stating that it is as crucial for Iraq as it is for the United States.

In his weekly press briefing, he noted that the last general census in Iraq was conducted in 1997. He highlighted the census's importance in gathering accurate data to support economic and political progress and the development of appropriate development strategies. 

The State Department spokesperson stated that they encourage all Iraqi citizens, including those in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, to participate in the census.
