Afrin IDPs hold Moscow and Washington responsible for their protection

Suleiman Jaafar called on Moscow and Washington to play a humanitarian role in stopping Turkey's threats against northern Syria, as the region faces a humanitarian catastrophe and the killing of civilians in the event of a new attack.

Suleiman Jafar, a former official in Afrin Canton who now works at the Afrin refugee camp on the northern outskirts of Aleppo, blames Russia and the United States for continuing Turkish attacks and threats against northern and eastern Syria and northern Aleppo.
In an interview with Kurdpress, Suleiman Jafar said that Turkey could not invade Syrian territory without a Russia and the United States green light.
He expressed concern that Russia would give Turkey the green light to launch a new military operation in the region, as it did in Afrin.
Recently, the media reported the threat of Turkish officials, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, regarding impending a military operation in the city of Tal Rifat on the northern outskirts of Aleppo and areas in northern and eastern Syria.
Last Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey might launch military operations against northeastern Syria if necessary.
He added: "This operation may be carried out whenever necessary and is not reversible."
Although military analysts and leaders of the Syrian opposition in Idlib have ruled out any military action by Turkey in northwestern or northeastern Syria, Afrin refugees fear a possible deal against them have not abated.
