Turkish Defense Minister visits border post on Iranian border

During a visit to a Border Guards Command on the Iranian border, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar reiterated his respect for the territorial integrity of neighboring countries.

Akar visited the Iranian border with Army Chief of Staff, Yasar Guler.

According to Anadolu News Agency, Akar reiterated that Turkey respects the territorial integrity of neighboring countries, especially Iraq and Syria, referring to continuing Turkish operations in the border areas of the Kurdistan Region.

He also said that Turkey's struggle across the borders continues strongly, adding that using concrete walls, towers, barbed wire fences, ditches, roads, ambushes in various places and reconnaissance operations, Turkish borders are in their safest time in history.

It should be noted that the commanders of the Turkish land, naval and air forces accompanied Akar and in this visit. While visiting the border units, they also attended the 6th Border Brigade Command and exchanged flags at the headquarters of the 6th Army Border Brigade Command in Van Province.
