Malla Bakhtiar made the remarks in response to the three-month suspension of his membership by the party leadership council.
Last week, the leadership council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) unanimously suspended the membership of Malla Bakhtiar, a veteran member of the PUK Supreme Political Council and the Interests, for three months.
Sharpress news website reported that Malla Bakhtiar announced that he does not intend to talk about this issue comment on it at this time.
He stressed that he had postponed announcing his reaction to the suspension of membership until after the announcement of the position of the PUK Supreme Political Council and Interests, and he will announce his position after the chairman of the council, Kosrat Rasul, took a position on this issue.
Malla Bakhtiar, meanwhile, called the move a violation of the party's internal constitution and the powers of the Supreme Political Council, and said he would continue to carry out all his activities as before, and that the leadership council's decision has no effect on him or his activities.
He stressed that the main issue in the Kurdistan Region at the moment is the economic crisis and non-payment of salaries to employees, and the root of this problem is the problems of previous government cabinets, weak economic infrastructure and party domination of the government and parliament, adding that "It (the Kurdistan Regional Government) is heavily in debt and unable to pay salaries, and the region's economy is on its way to becoming Venezuela."
