According to the official website of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani issued a statement in response to Sunda night's rocket attack that targeted the Khabat area in Erbil, denounces the attack that took place on the eve of Eid al-Fitr

Barzani stressed in the statement that condemning these attacks alone is not enough and that the recurrence of these attacks is a serious threat to security and stability.

He called on the relevant institutions and bodies in the Iraqi central government to identify the perpetrators of these attacks and punish them legally.

Barzani underscored that the Iraqi central government has a responsibility to take immediate, practical and serious action against these hostile actions and to prevent a recurrence of these attacks through coordination with the relevant institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
