Sadr called on MPs from the movement to present on Sunday their letters of resignation to the leader of the Sadrist Movement’s bloc in the Iraqi parliament, Hassan al-Azari. He also thanked the components of his Saving the Homeland alliance in parliament for their work in the movement and for the sake of the country.
Sadr said in a speech on Thursday the movement will not participate in forming a corrupt and biased government and asked for the party’s MPs to prepare their letters of resignation.
