Colonel Myles B. Caggins, the former spokesman for the International Coalition Against ISIS, told Rudaw television that rocket attacks on the Khor Mor gas field in the Chamchamal area of Sulaimani province, where Dana Gas operates, were serious and dangerous, with the aim of creating tension and violence in relations between Erbil and Baghdad.
He went on to say: "These attacks are organized and planned and their purpose is to create conflict, tension and violence in the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the central government of Iraq."
The former spokesman for the International Coalition Against ISIS stressed that the Iraqi army and counter-terrorism organization and the federal police were able to stop the attacks on the Khor Mor gas field, but that it needed 'will'.
