In response to a Kurdpress question whether the Kurdish-led autonomous administration intends to approach Damascus after Turkey's threats to attack northern Syria, Farhad Telo, head of the Kurdistani Liberal Union Party, stated: The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the parties present in the autonomous administration and we as a liberal party, have believed in a third line from the very beginning of the events in Syria.
He continued as saying that: We have never announced that we are not talking to Damascus because we are a part of Syria and we have been talking with them for several years.
He added: Regarding the recent threats, we are discussing the formation of an operation room and other military issues as well as diplomatic and political issues, with the central government.
Telo noted: In the last few days, there were discussions with the American and British delegations about these dangers, and General Mazloum Abdi had meetings with the Russian delegation at the Qamishlo airport.
He said: We believe in dialogue with all sides, but we are against the creation of a safe zone that Erdogan plans to create in the northern part of Syria.
The head of the Kurdistani Liberal Union Party added: We ask the United States, Britain, France and Russia to declare a no-fly zone over the skies of northern Syria.
