Salih Muslim denies YPG meeting with Damascus delegation

<p style="text-align: left;">A member of Syrian Kurds Democratic Society Movement Diplomacy Committee, Salih Muslim, denied reports that a delegation from the Syrian central government has met representatives of the Syrian pro-Kurdish Peoples&rsquo; Protection Units.

The London-based Syrian Human Rights Watch had stated that a delegation from Damascus met representatives of the YPG in the Kurdish city of Qamishlo.

Muslim denied the report in an interview with Kurdistan 24 and stated that they have never asked for division from Syria or that they are seeking independence.

He stated that such a meeting has not been held but the Kurds welcome such a gathering, adding that unfortunately the outlook has not changed in Syria and they think that they can control the country the way they did before 2011.
