A delegation is expected to be formed in a meeting of the PUK Politburo to hold talks with Barzani upon his arrival to Sulaimani on Sunday, PUK-affiliated media reported.

Barzani is also expected to meet officials from Change Movement (Gorran) during the visit, NRT reported.

On Wednesday, Kurdistan Region’s President Nechirvan Barzani tasked the premier designate with forming a new KRG cabinet.

PM designate Barzani has 30 days to form the new government.

The Kurdistan Parliament named Masrour Barzani as the new KRG Prime Minister on Tuesday. He received 87 votes from 97 lawmakers who were present during the parliamentary session.
