Speaking to reporters his son, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul said “Kosrat Rasul’s health is in good condition, and he will resume his political activities tomorrow.”
According to NRT Rasul was hospitalized on November 11 in the Kurdistan Region after not feeling well and under went surgery.
On November 16, Rasul was advised by his private team of doctors to depart to Germany to get additional medical treatment.
Earlier in September, an arrest warrant against Rasul, by a Baghdad court was rejected by the region’s former President Masoud Barzani for being “political.”
Baghdad court said in a statement that Kosrat Rasul had referred to the Iraqi army and federal police as "occupation forces” after the takeover of Kirkuk and its lucrative oil fields, as well as formerly Kurdish-held areas of Nineveh and Diyala provinces -- all outside the Kurdistan region’s administration.
