The U.S.-Turkey agreed on August 7 to create a safe zone in northern Syria and the zone is being implemented. Ankara, however, is not satisfied with the process of puting the goal into action
The daily has expressed its doubt if the zone is implemented and predicted that Turkish forces will launch an attack into the Kurdish-controlled northern Syria.
The daily warned the U.S. could not be a good ally for the Kurds and do not protect them againnst a possible assault, adding that Kurds could come to the conclusion that the U.S. can not provide the necessary security for the Kurds.
Kurds in Syria, however, are not satisfied with Russia cooperation. Moscow pulled out its forces from Afrin in 2018, leaving Syrian Kurds alone against Turkey bombardment on the Kurdish city of Afrin.
Syrian Kurds are also dissatisfied with Moscow efforts in mediating between the Kurds an Damascus.
