A high-level US delegation visited Syria Kurdistan, emphasizing its support for the Kurds and maintaining stability in the self-ruling administration.

Last Sunday, the US Deputy Special Representative for Syria visited the headquarters of the Syrian Kurdish administration.
The State Department website reported days ago that a delegation from the State Department visited northeastern Syria on Sunday and met with senior regional officials to reaffirm US support for stability in the region.
The ministry said on its official website that Acting Assistant Secretary of State Joey Hood had traveled to northeastern Syria with Deputy Foreign Minister Amy Katrona and Special Representative for Syria.
According to the website, the delegation included David Brownstein, the US Deputy Special Envoy for Syria, and Zara Bell, director of the Iraqi-Syrian National Security Council at the White House.
This is the first-ever visit of a US delegation to the Syrian Democratic Forces-controlled areas since US President Joe Biden has taken office. In addition to meeting with international coalition military personnel, the delegation also met with senior officials of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Democratic Council and tribal leaders in Raqqa.
During the meetings, the US Assistant Secretary of State stressed that the United States is committed to cooperate and coordinate with the coalition to defeat ISIS and to support continued stability in northeastern Syria and to provide assistance to the liberated areas.
